Recently, Kingdom Linen Egypt Co., Ltd. has successfully obtained the Golden License issued by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation of Egypt, and will invest in the construction of a linen spinning mill in Sadat City, Egypt. With a total investment of USD 58 million, the project is scheduled to be officially put into operation in 2027 and commits to 100% export-oriented production. This marks a new breakthrough in Kingdom Holdings’ international strategic layout, making the project one of the high-quality foreign-invested projects prioritized by Egypt.

The Golden License is an investment facilitation mechanism launched by the Egyptian government to attract efficient investment and streamline approval procedures. Enterprises holding this license can complete all approval procedures for project establishment, construction, operation and land allocation in a one-stop manner, with approval granted within 20 working days from the date of complete document submission. To date, Egypt has issued a total of 52 Golden Licenses, covering key national economic sectors including energy, manufacturing and logistics. Kingdom Holdings’ successful certification provides critical institutional support for the rapid implementation of its project in Egypt.

The linen spinning mill to be built by Kingdom Holdings in Sadat City aligns with Egypt’s national development strategy, which prioritizes support for high value-added, export-oriented industries. Upon completion, the project will leverage Kingdom Holdings’ technological expertise in linen spinning and global market resources to further strengthen the company’s competitive edge in the international supply chain, while helping Egypt expand its textile industrial capacity and increase export volumes.

The award of the Golden License represents a major milestone for Kingdom Holdings in deepening production capacity cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and expanding into the North African and Middle Eastern markets.
